Several GOP Senators drop off of letter demanding Obamacare be defunded

More than 60 Republicans have signed a letter urging House Speaker John Boehner to defund the implementation and enforcement of Obamacare in any appropriations bill brought to the house floor, Politico reports today.

Those Congressmen join 12 Senators who signed their names to a similar letter. As Twitchy reported, Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) has been leading the drive in the Senate to defund Obamacare, and Tuesday he tweeted a video suggesting he had 15 Senators on board to sign the letter. RedState.com reported, though, that GOP leadership is actively working against Lee and urging legislators not to sign.

Sen. Marco Rubio declared in a tweet that the effort is gaining momentum, at least in the House. He also released an except of a floor speech giving five reasons to defund Obamacare.

The momentum among the public has never died down, however.
