CBS, which is set to air the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in December, is reporting that a Native American-themed outfit featured at the show will be pulled from the broadcast, and Victoria’s Secret has issued an apology for any offense caused.
We are sorry that the Native American headdress in our fashion show has
upset individuals. The outfit will be removed from the broadcast.— Victoria's Secret (@VictoriasSecret) November 10, 2012
Model Karlie Kloss, who wore a feathered headdress and turquoise jewelry as part of a holiday-themed “Calendar Girls” segment of the show, issued her own apology via Twitter.
I am deeply sorry if what I wore during the VS Show offended anyone. I support VS's decision to remove the outfit from the broadcast.

A post on the blog Native Appropriations called for Victoria’s Secret to pull the segment from the show: “This isn’t ‘fun,’ this isn’t a ‘fantasy’ character. This is about our cultures, our bodies, and our lives. Native people demand and deserve far more respect than this.”
Some applauded Victoria’s Secret for the move.
@VictoriasSecret that headdress didn't just "upset individuals" it upset COMMUNITIES. Because it directly insulted them.

Some people really are missing something.
"I don't see angels and fairies getting upset about Victoria's Secret costumes" – a real person quote on the VS Native American costume.
