John Kerry thrown under bus; didn't 'get in president's face' during debate prep

Obama supporters have offered a never-ending buffet of excuses for the president’s abysmal performance at Wednesday night’s debate, ranging from too little oxygen to too much choom. Those still not satisfied (and unwilling to blame Obama) have been offered one more scapegoat in the form of John Kerry.

Breitbart.com reports that unnamed sources in the president’s camp are suggesting that Kerry failed in his duties as a debate stand-in for Mitt Romney. Kerry, they suggest, is angling for Hillary Clinton’s Secretary of State job and chose not “to get in the president’s face” and challenge him aggressively.

Zing!

In his post-debate meltdown, MSNBC’s Chris Matthews suggested that the president’s problem was that he didn’t watch enough MSNBC. Perhaps he’d have done better if MSNBC’s caricature of Romney had shown up rather than the actual candidate.
