As president's birthday makes headlines, others push to keep Brian Terry's memory alive

It’s not too late to sign President Obama’s online birthday card and wish him a happy 51st birthday. Amid the hype and the hashtag games, though, the Brian Terry Foundation and its supporters hope that another August birthday won’t be overlooked.

Terry, a U.S. Border Patrol agent who was killed along the Arizona/Mexico border in December 2010, would have turned 42 on August 11. Two guns found at the scene of Terry’s murder were traced back to the Justice Department’s “Fast and Furious” gun-running operation. The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee released the first part of its report on the botched program on Tuesday.
