Critical race theory has been an interesting fight to watch, with a peculiar set of talking points. Among them, and one we saw in the replies to any post on critical race theory, is that it’s only taught in law schools. No K-12 school teaches critical race theory. If that’s true, why are you so opposed to banning it, since it’s not there anyway? Because without critical race theory, teachers will omit slavery from the history curriculum so as not to make white students feel guilty. But no one’s omitting slavery or Jim Crow from the curriculum either; read the bills supposedly “banning” it.
This editor has always maintained that K-12 public schools don’t teach a course called, “Critical Race Theory.” Rather, teachers and administrators are indoctrinated in it through workshops and then encouraged to integrate the lessons they’ve learned into their curriculum, like having students fill out “privilege” worksheets and then ranking themselves from oppressed to oppressor.
James Lindsay, who’s been reinstated to Twitter after being banned, pulled up this advertisement for a workshop called “Demystifying CRT: Teaching Critical Race Theory in K-12 Classrooms.”
Turns out they were lying the entire time. Of course. pic.twitter.com/CQubdOAfdO

“Join us for a workshop on how to incorporate Critical Race Theory in K-12 classrooms,” according to the Liberated Ethnic Studies Model Curriculum.
Why do these things always go from "It's not happening" to "Here's why it happening is a good thing and we should be glad its happening"

The "ok we are doing it but it's a good thing" phase. We've seen this played out so many times

"Demystifying"? What is this, Wicca?

Kinda, it's all occultism.

Just a couple months ago a school board member/candidate laughed at us during a candidate forum for saying CRT is taught in k-12 schools. He was re-elected. Parents still don’t get it.

That gets cut off, but the bottom reads, “Different people do different things and have different feelings. It’s so important that we have lots of different kinds of people in our community and that everyone feels safe.”

Even NBC was shocked they had the gal to ban…what doesn’t exist! https://t.co/0ZGHkSEXwN

We did a post on that NBC News tweet, which fails to mention that the school board immediately hired … a black superintendent to replace the black superintendent.
The most amazing thing about this book is the *literal* child grooming on the front cover.

Omg – did she ask if she could touch that girl’s hair?? So traumatic.

We’ve seen so many of these workshops in school districts around the country. The idea that CRT isn’t taught in public schools is ludicrous.
