As Twitchy reported, this afternoon Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau invoked the Emergencies Act, which among other things allows banks to freeze, without a court order, accounts that they believe are funding the trucker protests in Ottawa and elsewhere. Trudeau claimed to be doing this to keep Canadians safe.
And about those tow truck owners who refused to move the offending big rigs; Trudeau says the Emergencies Act gives the government new tools, such as “the ability to compel” tow truck owners to move trucks as the government demands … with just compensation, of course.
