Colin Kaepernick's Netflix special literally segues from NFL training camp to a slave auction

Ah, Netflix. Colin Kaepernick has a new special on Netflix called “Colin in Black and White,” which in the words of NPR’s reviewer, “shows a star athlete reaching toward Blackness.” The critic notes that the special “delivers its message with storytelling subtle as a sledgehammer.”

Check out this segment in which Kaepernick segues from NFL training camp to a slave auction, and then has the auctioneer shake hands with the coach to bridge the gap in time.

In his Netflix special, Colin Kaepernick suggests the NFL training camp is synonymous with literally buying slaves.

Compare this with troop inspections in the military. The grunts, independent of race, make a lot less than top players of the NFL. Is that also like buying slaves then?
