Remember just a couple of days ago when CNN host Brian Stelter admitted he’d let Parkland survivor David Hogg make false claims about firearms that Stelter left uncontested?
“There were a few times I wanted to jump in and say, ‘Let’s correct that fact,'” Stelter said. “And at one of the times I did and other times I did not. There’s always that balance, how many times you’re going to interrupt.”
So forgive us if we do a double-take when CNN singles out Hogg as the Parkland survivor who keeps “schooling” lawmakers on social media.

CNN, we know you have a clear favorite of the handful of survivors who’ve been given a media platform, but do you have to make it so obvious?
Nearly everything he has claimed has been factually incorrect.

"Schooling" implies teaching.
Teaching implies facts.
He has not used any facts. At all.
He's lied so much, I'm surprised he hasn't told us his name is really Guybrush Threepwood. https://t.co/7Sqr5pe8Sf

And they’ve admitted it!
Hey @brianstelter is this an ? or a ?? Or is this one of those false claims that we don't bother to fact check because it's helpful for our glorified gun-control Super Pac at this point?
Purposefully amplifying smears and falsehoods is well beyond "giving survivors a voice." https://t.co/KYc5NENDYI

Its remarkably easy when CNN hosts don't try to fact check the young man (as admitted by….CNN hosts). https://t.co/bo9SaGG7bw
