He's BAAAAAACK! John Fugelsang Returns to Try Lecturing Me on Christianity and Hate (Again!)

imgflip

Back in September, I had the ... experience (I won't call it 'pleasure') of debating comedian John Fugelsang. That time, I was chiding him for sneering at blue-collar union workers for having the temerity to endorse Donald Trump.

As I said, how dare those working-class voters not listen to their moral and intellectual Leftist superiors! The audacity!

Now, he's back because I defended (and I use that term loosely) Matt Walsh. We'll start with Walsh's post that kicked this all off:

Walsh is right. This is the same rhetoric used by Leftists, and I soundly reject it. As we've seen from BLM and the Left's 'anti-racist' movement, nothing good comes of it. In fact, the 'anti-racist' movement has done more to harm race relations in America than anything since Jim Crow. It creates a culture of fear, mistrust, and paranoia.

Of course, that's what the Left wants. It lives in mortal terror that average Americans of all stripes have more in common than not, so they work hard to keep us divided and make people see racist offenses where none exist. It is toxic and serves no purpose in preventing racism. Or, in this case, antisemitism.

Note the date on Walsh's post, too.

And the fact Fugelsang -- who must've been bored -- finally replied to it this morning:

The post concludes:

It’s almost like they’re some kind of supremacist.

Fugelsang is a master at setting up and knocking down straw man arguments and ad hominems.

Actually engaging in good-faith arguments?

Not so much.

I pointed out that Fugelsang was slipping and he decided to slide into my DMs:

'A more creative way to be hateful'?

It's so weird how Fugelsang's definition of 'hate' and 'Christ's teachings' happen to miraculously align with his political ideology.

Total coincidence, I'm sure.

So in his world, rejecting the woke concept of being anti-something is 'hate', but calling Walsh (and me) 'supremacists' somehow isn't.

I'd point out here that I've had the Israeli flag in my bio since October 7, 2023. I've written extensively about the pro-Hamas, anti-Israel Leftists -- Fugelsang's ideological comrades, undoubtedly -- who've taken over college campuses across the country, targeting Jews, taking Black and Hispanic janitors hostage, and calling for the destruction of Israel (and the eradication of those aforementioned Jews). I oppose them and have called for both legal and civil consequences under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act.

That's not good enough for Fugelsang. Because I won't conform to the Left's latest ideological demand, he pretends that's proof of my heart and mind.

The notion that not being antisemitic (or not being racist) isn't adequate enough -- that you must be anti-racist or anti-antisemitic -- is laughable and nothing more than cheap virtue signaling.

You'll note I didn't respond to Fugelsang's DMs. I've done that in the past, but I'm not now. Whatever he has to say to me, he can say publicly on X and get dragged for it, or not at all.

For my part, I know I hate no one. Not even Fugelsang.

But I don't have to tolerate his nonsense.
