David Leavitt is having one heck of a Columbus Day. Not content to let anyone who celebrates the holiday know that “he sees” them, he’s moved on to actively encouraging people to call child protective services on Virginia 12th Senate District candidate Tina Ramirez.
Her crime?

Well, a mother teaching her child as she sees fit will apparently not stand in David’s twisted little world:

Leaving aside (for the moment) how absolutely vile it is to threaten someone with a call to child protective services over differing political views, why can’t you do it yourself, David? Need your online mob to pile on first?
He eventually put his Target toothbrush-less mouth where his money is:
The Virginia State hotline for child abuse has a 43+ minute hold and is experiencing “high call volumes” with 14 callers ahead of me.

David Leavitt seriously called the child abuse hotline over a tweet about American history. Just when you think he can’t go any lower, he finds a way. And let’s not overlook how he’s complaining about the long wait times of an apparently overburdened system while literally making a junk call that will go nowhere but still use up resources that should go to the actual victims of child abuse.

A Class 1 misdemeanor does not sound fun to us, but then again, we don’t go around making bogus calls to government agencies just because our feelings got hurt on the Twitter dot com.
