President Obama literally told then-Russian President Dmitry Medvedev with months to go in the 2012 election that he’d have “more flexibility” on negotiating missile defense in Europe until after the election, but somehow it’s President Trump encouraged Putin to pick sides in an election? Remember, at the time, it was the Republicans and Mitt Romney who were seen as tougher on Russia than Obama and the Democrats.
