Well, this escalated quickly.
Donald Trump adviser on veteran issues Al Baldassaro told a radio show that Hillary Clinton should be “put in the firing line and shot for treason.”

An excerpt:
“I’m a military man first, and anyone who takes information about our CIA or Secret Service and people at our embassy and puts it out on a server where anyone can grab it, putting Americans in danger to be killed, should be held accountable.”
“As far as I’m concerned it is treason and the penalty for treason is the firing squad – or maybe it’s the electric chair now,” Baldasaro said.
Baldasaro stood by those comments in an interview with NBC Alexandra Jaffe and even insinuated that Donald Trump agreed with him:
Baldasarro, who called for Clinton to be shot in firing squad, stood by comments in our convo. Said that's the punishment for treason.

Asked Baldasaro if he felt Trump agreed w/him; he pointed to Trump's comments on Bergdahl here: https://t.co/cnjvVXUox9

Statement from the Trump campaign:
Trump spox on Baldasaro's call for Clinton to be shot for treason: "No, of course Mr. Trump does not feel this way."
