Here’s something you don’t see every day, or ever for that matter: reporters are citing a story posted on the Fox News website, and they’re not even calling it “Faux News” out of habit.
Kudos to Fox News for rushing the story of @GregForMontana's crime onto the web and telling what they saw. https://t.co/p3dJmQUtXI

No, he’s not being sarcastic. We checked.
oh my god, it was Fox News https://t.co/RjNDr77aFm

BREAKING: Fox News says crew saw Montana House candidate Greg Gianforte grab Guardian reporter by neck and slam him to the ground.
— The Associated Press (@AP) May 25, 2017
Twitter was buzzing Wednesday night after reporter Ben Jacobs tweeted that GOP candidate Greg Gianforte had body slammed him and broken his glasses — although the campaign’s official statement didn’t line up at all with the audio recording that was posted soon afterward.
Alicia Acuna of Fox News was there in the room when it happened, though, and her eyewitness account made the incident sound even worse than the audio recording did.
Fox News reporters witnessed the assault first hand — and it's worse than I ever imagined https://t.co/dAfJ2Sg44H pic.twitter.com/hjO56SA8mf

I'm told the @FoxNews team didn't know @Bencjacobs & thought it might be a put on. Once they realized it was real, they were scared.

Also told the takedown was "serious" and "unwarranted." @FoxNews team is cooperating with the investigation. https://t.co/7xJalfR3eE

Kudos to Alicia Acuna here for telling the truth here.

Even more kudos to a Fox News reporter for telling the truth? What next? Props from the New York Times?
Props to the Fox team for recalling what they saw in unsparing detail https://t.co/Dk0C0Jx60i

So here's the choice conservs: Either @GregForMontana is a liar or @FoxNews is. I believe Fox. Greg belongs in jail. https://t.co/p3dJmQUtXI
— Kurt Eichenwald (@kurteichenwald) May 25, 2017
A classic "who are you going to believe, me or your lying ears and 3 Fox reporters' lying eyes" case.
— Maggie Haberman (@maggieNYT) May 25, 2017
It does bother me that people are saying "EVEN FOX NEWS" as if they expect Fox reporters to cover for Gianforte. That's petty and absurd.
— Peter J. Hasson (@peterjhasson) May 25, 2017
Don't expect Fox to cover, but I do expect them to have higher editorial scrutiny for Rs. They wouldn't post if they weren't 1000% sure.
— Kyle Foley (@KFoleyFL) May 25, 2017
Sure but I mean they were right there. It's insulting to the reporters who were there to go in assuming they're not going to shoot straight.
— Peter J. Hasson (@peterjhasson) May 25, 2017
Exactly. The same outlets that have rushed to condemn everything they do (opinion or non-opinion people) are strangely loving Fox now

This story is an important reminder of the important work done by the many professional journalists at Fox News. https://t.co/RjOdZcWyF9

It’s refreshing to see people take someone from Fox News seriously, even just for one night. The chair of the Libertarian National Committee couldn’t even score that.
You know who doesn't physically attack reporters?
