Political junkies finding themselves lost between last night’s State of the Union address and tomorrow night’s GOP debate were welcomed to follow Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson on his trip to Dearborn, Mich., today for the cleverly named #DHSinDearborn event.
As Twitchy reported last night, Rep. Keith Ellison’s transparent effort to stick it to Donald Trump and have every lawmaker invite a Muslim guest lost steam at around 20. No matter: Johnson took his act on the road today to talk about immigration, #HometownSecurity, and refugees.

Johnson and entourage then headed to the University of Michigan at Dearborn, where he spoke of the “glory” of public service and the importance of building bridges to Muslim communities.
Now, more than ever, it is critical that we build bridges to Muslim communities around this country. – Secretary Johnson #DHSinDearborn
