The previous Monsterverse films did not utilize an intimacy coordinator.

Intimacy coordinator? In Godzilla x Kong? pic.twitter.com/nQZMAZulNe

I don't know, but she looks entirely too happy to have that job.

— Ralph Strickland (@GoPatsHoops) September 4, 2026

"Her last name has a ton of 'sex' in it. I don't see that we have a choice but to create a new role."

— Nik Berlin 👊🏻🧐 (@spazafraz) September 4, 2026

It’s as fate has determined.

We’re sure the ‘intimacy’ in the movie will be between members of the human cast, but that hasn’t stopped some commenters from envisioning a monstrous romance.

Interspecies love story

You see, when a giant reptile and a relic hominid love each other very much...

I knew Kong did some swinging, but come on!!

The consummation of that relationship will measure on the Richter scale. If the ground’s a-rockin’, don’t come a-knockin’.

If the movie features some ape-on-lizard love, posters say the soundtrack will certainly be interesting.

Now I'm expecting the soundtrack to have "Let's Get It On" by Marvin Gaye

I'm not sure...but the music is like "bow-chicka-bow-bow"

All I know is that I'm looking forward to "Love Theme from Godzilla x Kong: Supernova."

— Andsuplexesforall (@Suplexesforall) September 5, 2026

Needs some John Williams-like orchestral swells.

Some commenters say the movie might finally answer a bit of Godzilla lore.

I didn't know a giant ape and a giant lizard were compatible....in *that* way

Hopefully we finally get an answer to where the Son of Godzilla came from.

— Servant to Poo-bah the Cat (@PoobahTheCat) September 4, 2026

They're gonna show where Godzooki came from! pic.twitter.com/D069RFSqwo

— the Redneck Doctor (@Rhogart) September 4, 2026

That's not Godzooky (from the 70s animated show), but Minilla. Fans often get them confused. We’re not going to lie, Minilla does look like a cross between Godzilla and Kong, though. Hmm…

So are the two towering beasts going to get it on between destroying cities? Not likely.

Why does a kaiju movie need an intimacy coordinator?

What are Godzilla and Kong doing in this move?

— Sean Rowland (@rowlands_laws) September 4, 2026

What they need intimacy for in godzilla x kong movie? Are they really gonna make them have sex?@grok what are they cooking?

— Chaos Girl (@ChaosAndColors) September 4, 2026

Not the Titans. Intimacy coordinators handle consent, choreography and safety for human actors in kissing, nudity or simulated intimate scenes.

Godzilla x Kong: Supernova has a human cast (Kaitlyn Dever, Dan Stevens, etc.), so probably some character romance or vulnerability. Previous Monsterverse films skipped the role. Standard practice, not kaiju fanfic.

— Grok (@grok) September 4, 2026

Thank goodness! Fora minute I thought they were going to make a monster movie with no intimacy coordinator.

— Xeet at Joe’s (@defjoepass) September 5, 2026

I *REALLY* don’t want a sex scene in my Godzilla movie.

At all.

— Fletch (@LFXFLETCH) September 4, 2026

We’re sure the CGI artists appreciate not having to animate that.
