House Speaker Mike Johnson says he’s not worried about the midterm elections. He expects voters to positively respond to tax cuts in the Big Beautiful Bill and give President Donald Trump a larger majority in the House.
Here’s more. (READ)
Speaker Johnson is absolutely CONVINCED Republicans will not just hold the House in 2026 - but expand the majority
"We knew the major provisions [of tax cuts] happen AFTER January. People will FEEL it."
"I'm VERY bullish. I'm absolutely convinced we're gonna GROW the House majority, and keep the majority in the Senate and the House. And allow President Trump 4 years, NOT just 2. Because if we lose the majority, they'll try to impeach him and stop everything."
"We need to narrow in more on affordability. It's a big thing for people. We've been working on it every day."

Hope so. Golden Age is over if Republicans don’t. Need a super majority to move Trump’s agenda along.

It would certainly be nice to see Republican bills fly through the House.
Posters say for that to happen, Republicans need to get redistricting done pronto.
Republicans need to redistrict wherever they can. Take nothing for granted.

If we continue to redistrict, and if the Supreme Court repeals Section 2 of the VRA, then Democrats may never hold a majority in the House ever again 😅

We'll see what happens, can't be overconfident.
Democrats will lose seats once districts drawn by race are changed.
Posters are worried because Republicans are notorious for skipping midterm elections.
I would like our midterm strategy to be MORE big legislative wins. We have to remember Donald Trump isn't on the ballot.
— Eric Daugherty (@EricLDaugh) November 14, 2025
We need a strong GOTV plan. Republicans are notorious for not voting in midterms and special elections regardless of what legislative wins there are.
— WYSass🇺🇸 (@wysassygirl) November 14, 2025
If we secure elections with voter id, paper ballots and same day voting, I am sure the results will show Republicans are the winners much more than we ever thought.

Election reform is a must.
The chorus for ending the filibuster is getting louder after what transpired during the Schumer Shutdown.
Speaker Johnson needs to have a little talk with Leader Thune about how he can get the Senate to eliminate the filibuster.
— JKash 🍊MAGA Queen (@JKash000) November 14, 2025
They should end the filibuster. Get done everything they can before midterms and then if he's right great, but if we don't expand by much we will have still been able to get a lot more done!
— MyOrdinaryLife (@MyOL365) November 14, 2025
If congress ended the filibuster and passed the entire agenda and then some, they would keep control of DC for 20 years. But, No.
— Gimme3Steps (@TheSouthGAJohn) November 14, 2025
Encourage ending the filibuster and get legislation passed pronto.

We already know that Democrats will have no qualms about ending the filibuster if they regain control of the Senate. Pulling the trigger on it now will give Republicans a better chance of fulfilling Trump's agenda.
