Fresh off his Comedy Central roast, actor Rob Lowe had some choice words for NFL players who planned on boycotting the national anthem during the 15th anniversary of 9/11.
Dear @NFL Any player wants to boycott the anthem on 9/11 should be asked to remain in the locker room until kick off. It's not their moment.

The protests, which started when Colin Kaepernick, a backup quarterback for the 49ers, avoided standing for the national anthem. Many wondered if other players throughout the NFL would refuse to stand for 9/11, an act that felt inappropriate on such a tragic day.
When Twitter users tried to defend the NFL players, Lowe gave the perfect response:
TOTALLY agree with you. But there is a time and place. It's 9/11. Give it a rest for a day and respect the fallen. https://t.co/sl8qHY3GPQ
