What Tim Tebow Decided To Do About the Orlando Shooting Is Pure Compassion

Love him or hate him, you have to admit that Tim Tebow isn’t afraid to demonstrate what being a good Christian is all about.

When the former Heisman Trophy winner heard that his former high school teammate, Rodney Sumter, was shot three times while working as a bartender at Pulse nightclub in Orlando – Tebow didn’t hesitate to pay him a visit.

Tebow left from the Bahamas to visit Sumter, who was recovering with two broken arms at Orlando Regional Medical Center. Tebow also took some time to visit and talk with other victims who were recovering.

“My high school quarterback left the Bahamas to come and see me. Tebow has always been an awesome person.”

Tebow who didn’t publicize or comment on the visit, frequently wrote “Phil. 4:13” on his eye black – which Sumter wrote on Instagram following the visit.

“No weapons formed against me shall prosper. Life changing experience and I don’t want to do anything but share my testimony and turn my life over to the lord. I don’t have my phone so I can’t respond to you all through text or Facebook just yet. … But thank you so so so much for the heavy support that I have received. It definitely hasn’t gone unnoticed.”
