Today, Colin Ferguson (the Canadian actor, not the mass murderer), announced his opposition to “Stand Your Ground” laws.
Ferguson, best known for playing Sheriff Jack Carter on “Eureka,” didn’t come right out and say it … but it’s clear enough what he was getting at.
@colinferg which rule? Stand Your Ground had nothing to do with the Martin-Zimmerman case…

According to FoxNews.com, the laws are in place in more than two dozen states. They allow people to “use deadly force if they think their life is being threatened.”
And what, exactly, is so terrible about that?

@colinferg so, we can't defend ourselves? Ill just hold up my hands and let someone beat me up! That will work

Update:
Ferguson has deleted the tweet and apologized for it. He says he should have said the laws need to be updated, not repealed.
@TwitchyTeam Hey guys. I should have said "updated". Apologies.
