I'm not sure if you guys saw this tweet from The Lincoln Project ... it went out at about 1 a.m. EDT this morning. But I just ran across it and thought it was pretty funny:
2024 is not a done deal - even with his third indictment, Trump's never been more popular. It's why now, more than ever, No Labels needs to be exposed for what they are: a dark money group created to re-elect Trump. See for yourself 👇 pic.twitter.com/VXUjbH5aO8

No Labels is definitely some bulls**t, but the irony of The Lincoln Project slamming them as "a dark money group created to re-elect Trump" cannot be overstated. First of all, I don't think that The Lincoln Project was technically created to re-elect Trump; it was created purely to use opposition to Trump to line their own pockets. And once Trump was out of office, The Lincoln Project's mission became ... to re-elect Trump. They're not gonna get off that train until they've bled every last sucker dry. So they're deflecting as far as the Trump thing goes.
And as for this dark money business ... The Lincoln Project has managed to build a very large, fancy glass house with all the money they've either gotten from shady benefactors or the money they've taken in under false pretenses. So put down those stones, Lincoln Project. Because you just got busted a little harder today:

I combed through Rick Wilson's Twitter feed and he's been very busy doing his usual business of wagging his inflated finger at insufficiently liberal conservatives (like Tim Scott, who despite his cringe decision to go after the Florida curriculum, maintains that there is a two-tiered system of justice and that Biden's DOJ has been weaponized) and high-fiving his fellow self-righteous Resistance blowhards. But nothing about him using donors' money to pay his son! There's actually nothing from The Lincoln Project's account about that, either. Or about the group's braintrust raking in six figures. Or about all the stuff they've spent their $3.6-million haul in the first part of 2023.

The disclosures underscore the changing nature of the Lincoln Project, which, from a strictly financial perspective, has been one of the most successful super PACs in history. Once regarded in liberal circles as a brass-knuckled anti-Trump force, it has, over time, endured persistent criticism for, among other things, a sexual harassment scandal, evidence of self-dealing on the part of the co-founders and comments seen as rooting for Trump to be the Republican nominee again.
Despite it all, the organization still brought in $3.6 million in the first half of the off year. The Lincoln Project declined to comment on the record about its spending.
Oh, I have no doubt that The Lincoln Project declined to comment on the record about its spending. I don't think they'd even comment off the record, unless Politico placed a mole in there a while ago who has been secretly recording conversations.
Honest to God, these people make me physically sick. They sit their on their high horses, shrieking at Donald Trump about being an amoral grifter — and he is — but they're just as bad as he is. Maybe even worse, because while Trump is who he has always been, The Lincoln Project goons refuse to admit to the public who they really are.
And who they are is a collective of grifting liars who draw their strength from deceiving those who still believe in their bogus cause. The Lincoln Project is just one big circle jerk of criminals who refuse to take any accountability for their criminal behavior and have no plans to cease their criminal behavior. Sound like anyone else you know?
They should be thoroughly investigated.

Definitely. If what we've seen from them so far is any indication, there are quite a few rabbit holes that deserve exploration. Maybe even some that — if it's not to o much to hope for — ultimately lead to their demise.

They have so much more in common with Donald Trump than they'll ever admit. Unfortunately, as is the case with Trump's supporters, their supporters refuse to see them for who they are.
