Intercept's Ken Klippenstein gets revenge on Sen. Feinstein by publicly shaming/targeting her staff

Look: I’m not gonna sit here and pretend that I’m OK with the idea of a sitting U.S. Senator who’s 89 years old, because I’m not. Yes, there are 89-year-old men and women out there who are perfectly lucid and even in pretty good physical shape, but I feel like when it comes to the government, it’s probably wise to err on the side of caution and just not elect people who are over a certain age. Maybe that sounds ageist or whatever, but Joe Biden’s 80, and look how well that’s working out for us.

Anyway, back to 89-year-old senators. I’m referring specifically to Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein. GOP Sen. Chuck Grassley is 89, too, but at least we know where he is. The same can’t be said for Feinstein’s, who’s all but disappeared from public view. It’s understandable that her absence would annoy Democratic voters, particularly since if she’s not at work, she’s not helping to advance Democrats’ agenda or put a stop to Republicans’. I can sympathize with liberals’ frustration (while also enjoying it, mind you). And obviously I’m not a fan of Feinstein’s politics.

But even a hater like me can’t get behind what The Intercept’s Ken Klippenstein is doing to Team Feinstein right now. It’s no secret that Ken’s a massive jerkwad, but this is pretty gross even for him:

There’s a lot more where that came from. Or at least there was. Looks like he’s deleted his thread, which was quite lengthy. Not out of any sense of shame, of course. He just got tired of people calling him out for being an ass.

It’s a genuine problem that Feinstein is still in the U.S. Senate despite suffering from obvious physical and cognitive impairments, but Klippenstein’s strategy of shaming her via shaming her staffers is really, really gross.

Narrator: It felt like harassment because it was harassment.

No wonder Ken’s always trying to make other people feel bad. Misery loves company.

Fair point.

We’re not gonna do it. But Ken did. And at some point, he’s going to regret it, either because he suddenly grows a conscience or because he gets a taste of his own medicine.
