Pope Francis has been feeling pretty philosophical today. What else is new, right?
Well, apparently he has some thoughts about the significance of each of our five fingers, and he decided to share those thoughts with the world on Twitter:

I’m not a Catholic myself, so I have to ask: is this finger symbolism common knowledge among Catholics? Not that it’s a huge concern for me either way. I’m just wondering.
But I have a more pressing question than that, and it’s this one: why did Pope Francis put this tweet in?
