Brett’s headline tongue-in-cheekily referred to the parents as “domestic terrorists” in a nod to the public school boards and teachers’ unions and woke activists and Justice Department referring to parents who raised concerns about what their kids are reading and learning about at school. But surely no one would actually suggest that the Muslim parents are actually domestic terrorists, right? That wouldn’t be very intersectional, right? No one would actually run with that, right?

Alas, it’s not real. Just another magnificent piece of art from @MidnightMitch, who was technically telling the truth when he called said it was “unbelievable.”
But admit it: you thought it was real at first. Because it may as well have been. On the Totem Pole of Wokeness, “LGBTQIA++++” still ranks higher than “Muslim.” It’s really not so farfetched to believe that there are woke journalists out there working up a sweat trying to find a way to paint Muslim parents who care about what’s happening in their kids’ schools as far-Right white supremacist domestic terrorists, is it? The most effective satire is rooted in truth, and we’ll be damned if there’s not some truth to @MidnightMitch’s tweet.
