Yesterday, this screenshot of a purported tweet from Occupy Democrats made the rounds on Twitter:
Hey @OccupyDemocrats …
Why did you delete this… Without any apology? pic.twitter.com/DWURioiroE— Pradheep J. Shanker (@Neoavatara) September 28, 2022
I was working on putting together a post on it and everything.
is this real???

Alas, no. It was a fake. But a really, really good and convincing fake. The reason it was so hard to tell for a while is because Occupy Democrats has developed quite a reputation for vomiting up objectively offensive, tone-deaf, and/or complete garbage tweets.
That’s actually what they did today, with a tweet about Hurricane Ian that was targeted at â who else? â Donald Trump:
RT IF THERE IS NO BOTTOM TO OCCUPY DEMOCRATSâ BEHAVIOR!!! https://t.co/B3P1ZMi4vO

Can’t see it? That’s because they deleted it. But not fast enough.
deleted… Here is the screenshot pic.twitter.com/wkLGGuaCvG

Occupy Democrats was (and still is, no doubt) openly rooting for Hurricane Ian to destroy Mar-a-Lago to stick it to Trump. Never mind that countless men, women, and children were and continue to be in danger, of property destruction, of injury, or of death.

Ghouls. These people are ghouls.
They *just* deleted it, but this sort of wishcasting disaster on political enemies is what @OccupyDemocrats has raised over $797,000 to produce. pic.twitter.com/8c84GHQtML

That really does appear to be Occupy Democrats’ ultimate goal, yes.
