Will you #StandWithEnes? The NBA seems determined to blackball Enes Kanter Freedom for speaking out against China's human rights abuses

Enes Kanter Freedom has used his platform as an NBA star to speak out against government oppression, particularly the Chinese government’s systematic human rights abuses. So committed to freedom is Kanter that he legally changed his name.

And the NBA can’t have people like that in their fine, upstanding establishment, now can they?

More from the Daily Caller’s David Hookstead:

The former Boston Celtics center was traded Thursday to the Rockets, and he was then waived by the Rockets, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

There is a very high chance he never plays in the league again.

Remember when I said Freedom’s outspoken criticism of China and the CCP might cost him his career? Well, it looks like that’s exactly what has happened.

Kanter is 100% good enough to be a solid role player in the NBA. That’s just a fact, but his minutes were slashed by the Celtics as he exposed the horrific crimes of the dictatorship in Beijing, and he’s now been waived after being traded.

The NBA loves outspoken advocates for social justice … unless those advocates hurt the ChiComs’ feelings. In that case, there’s no room for you in their clubhouse.

It’s genuinely, unequivocally shameful.

Teams and companies should be begging him to sign contracts with them. If they want to show that they actually care about human rights, they couldn’t find a better partner than Enes Kanter Freedom.

If the NBA thinks they can silence Enes Kanter Freedom by giving him the boot, then they don’t know Enes Kanter Freedom.
