NYC mayoral hopeful — and former Obama HUD Secretary — Shaun Donovan thinks you can buy a home in Brooklyn for $100K

We’re not anywhere near Brooklyn, but even we know that if you wanna buy a house there, you’d better pony up. A lot. Like, a lot a lot.

Ray McGuire and Shaun Donovan are both hoping to succeed hot mess Bill de Blasio as Mayor of New York City, so in theory, they’d be pretty familiar with housing prices in the area.

Newp:

$100,000 for a home in Brooklyn?

Well, what would someone like Shaun Donovan know about homes across the U.S.?

Donovan didn’t just work in Obama’s HUD; he was the effing secretary.

Barack Obama sure could pick ’em!

Donovan (and McGuire, for that matter) should both call it quits.

On the other hand, Bill de Blasio managed to get elected, so the bar’s already been set pretty low.
