Earlier this month, Democratic Sen. Tammy Duckworth told her Republican colleagues — as well as her Twitter followers — that Amy Coney Barrett didn’t think her daughter should exist because she was conceived through IVF:
An open message to my Republican colleagues:⁰⁰You stood up. You applauded. You cuddled my beautiful daughter when she became the first infant on the Senate floor.⁰⁰So now I ask—how could you support a Supreme Court nominee who supports those who believe Maile shouldn't exist?
— Tammy Duckworth (@SenDuckworth) October 2, 2020
How could you vote for a nominee who supports those who believe that my doctor should be in prison?
That moms like me who've been blessed with children through IVF shouldn't be criminalized *only* "at this point?”
That these families are worth "less" than others?

To all my Republican colleagues who met my Maile that historic day—I urge you to look within your souls.
Look within & consider whether someone who supports those beliefs is capable of serving as an impartial justice for ALL Americans on the highest court in the land. For life.

Duckworth’s claims had no basis in fact or reality, but that isn’t stopping Brian Fallon-led Demand Justice — “a progressive movement honoring RBG’s legacy by fighting to protect the courts” — from taking them and running with them:
"If Amy Coney Barrett is appointed, I am scared. She supported a group that wants to criminalize the way I got pregnant."

Well, we don’t blame that lady for being scared. Assuming she’s speaking in earnest, she’s evidently been terrified into believing that Amy Coney Barrett would criminalize IVF.
This is garbage fear-mongering from a trash misinformation group that fails at everything they do.
Barrett hasn’t ever taken any kind of position on IVF and there’s nothing coming before the court to challenge it.

“Garbage fear-mongering” “trash misinformation group” sounds exactly like something Brian Fallon would be involved with.
This is blatant fear mongering. What a joke.

Patently false.

This is reprehensible gaslighting and you guys should be embarrassed.

Don’t worry … they’ll have plenty of egg on their faces next week.
See you guys on Monday at the Court when she gets confirmed!
