Last week, we told you about the alleged racist backlash against the casting of black actress Halle Bailey in Disney’s live-action “Little Mermaid” remake. The thing was, it wasn’t so much a racist backlash as it was an attempt by the wokeness brigade to stir up outrage against white people who don’t actually care one way or another what race Ariel belongs to.
But despite the faux racist narrative being pretty thoroughly debunked, the Washington Post is running with it anyway. Because the opportunity to shame white people over a manufactured outrage is just too tempting to pass up:

Where there’s smoke, there’s fire. And when there’s no smoke to be found, brave firefighters must resort to starting the fires themselves.
I have yet to hear a person in real life complain about it, only 10-follower accounts saying "it's a Danish fairy tale!" and that's it. This isn't a real controversy.
