If feminists want to take ownership of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, they can have her. Along with all the ignorant garbage she spews.
It should come as no surprise to anyone that AOC isn’t a fan of the Georgia heartbeat bill. After all, pro-aborts like her can’t stomach the idea of an unborn baby being a person. But surely abortion proponents can dig up someone who can make better arguments for their cause than this:
“6 weeks pregnant” = 2 weeks late on your period.
Most of the men writing these bills don’t know the first thing about a woman’s body outside of the things they want from it. It’s relatively common for a woman to have a late period + not be pregnant.
So this is a backdoor ban. https://t.co/xWd9GAj51b

OK, so first of all:
Did AOC just assume those legislators' genders? ? https://t.co/KhAX1aRHn2

Evidently she did:
This bill was co-authored by 3 women https://t.co/8VXWs56h7b

Look, @AOC! Here are the 5 main sponsors of the bill. So here are the two men you slandered as "Most of the men writing these bills don’t know the first thing about a woman’s body outside of the things they want from it." And the other three are… WOMEN!https://t.co/6r8zzMCRju pic.twitter.com/6RC98erA81

And what about the women writing these bills, @AOC? Do they "know the first thing about a woman’s body"?https://t.co/lHHCvKoA8U
— Jeryl Bier (@JerylBier) May 8, 2019
So is @AOC going to further explain what she means by "Most of the men writing these bills don’t know the first thing about a woman’s body outside of the things they want from it." What do "they want from… a woman’s body", @AOC? Come on, spell it out. https://t.co/lHHCvKoA8U

Spelling is hard. Almost as hard as not trivializing what pregnancy entails and involves.
Dear #AOC, “pregnant” means you have conceived a child where HALF of the genetic material in that child is NOT yours. Pregnancy is NOT to be confused with an irregular menstrual cycle. Your body releases hormones when you’re pregnant. That’s how those little pregnancy tests work.

It's not a "backdoor ban." It is a ban on abortion after six weeks of pregnancy, just like it says it is. The fact that this is early in pregnancy is the entire point of the bill. The fact that a six-week-old embryo is apparently just a missed period to you is disturbing. https://t.co/3KtMlwN7sf

This is “two weeks late on your period.” Two weeks late has arms & legs forming, fingers & toes, & a heartbeat! pic.twitter.com/5tN7JYxf19

.@BabyCenter explains a baby’s amazing development at 6 weeks: “The nose, mouth, and ears that you'll spend so much time kissing in eight months are beginning to take shape…His heart is beating about 100 to 160 times a minute…and blood is beginning to course through his body” pic.twitter.com/KCUpe5qUDl

actually, 6 weeks pregnant = a human being is being formed. Your mom was 6 weeks pregnant with you as mine was with me. Are you calling yourself a late period? Wow#AOC is disgusting.

6 weeks pregnant = heartbeat.
I’m not making this up. My daughter is nine. I saw and heard her heart beating for the first time at six weeks gestation during an ultrasound – about one week after learning I was pregnant.

A miscarriage at 6 weeks pregnant (four passed missed period) is pretty damn horrifying and emotionally scarring. It ain't just a late and extremely heavy menstrual cycle.
