Bernie Sanders’ had his Fox News town hall today … and he spilled a whole lotta beans. Thanks in no small part to Martha MacCallum and Bret Baier holding his feet to the fire.
First up:
“Healthcare is not free.” — @SenSanders #MarkThatDown

That’s right:
"You're going to pay more in taxes" – @SenSanders
— Elizabeth Harrington (@LizRNC) April 15, 2019
Good thing Bernie didn't utter this gem on a easily remembered date on the federal calendar. https://t.co/ik99YbaS0o

His timing is impeccable.
“You’re going to pay more in taxes.”

Watch:
.@marthamaccallum presses @SenSanders on how he is going to pay for "Medicare for All."
He struggles to answer and then admits taxes will have to go up.
Will members of Congress also transition to this plan, asks @BretBaier
"You're damn right," Sanders says. pic.twitter.com/BayLlztO7r

Bernie may have been a little too honest about health care costing money and taxes going up … but as for members of Congress willingly subjecting themselves to life under his Medicare for All plan? That we have a hard time believing.
In the meantime, GOP, Bernie just served this up to you on a silver platter. Go make the most of it.
