'You're OK with what he did?' 20th Century Fox stands by 'consummate professional' Jussie Smollett

Good news, aspiring actors! Apparently lying and obstructing justice aren’t egregious enough offenses to get you kicked off a Fox set:

“Jussie Smollett continues to be a consummate professional on set and as we have previously stated, he is not being written out of the show.” – STATEMENT FROM 20TH CENTURY FOX TELEVISION AND FOX ENTERTAINMENT

— 20th Century Fox TV (@20centuryfoxTV) February 20, 2019

It’s all but confirmed that Jussie Smollett lied to police and was prepared to testify against innocent people, but Fox needs him on the “Empire” set, so … it’s all good?

Translation: "We came out with a strong statement of support for Jussie early on so we're doubling down on that so as not to look foolish."

This was written last month, apparently.

Well, you know what they say:

Any publicity for any show is a good publicity.

Guess so.

Wow. You're ok with what he did? Good riddance.
