Matt Drudge was a pretty reliable defender of Donald Trump for a while, but in recent months, he’s gotten a bit … less inclined to give Trump the benefit of the doubt.

Drudge is referring to reports that former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen paid an IT firm tens of thousands of dollars to rig polls — including Drudge polls — in Trump’s favor in 2015 at Trump’s behest:

Matt Drudge is not the kind of guy who takes kindly to being manipulated.
