As Twitchy told you earlier, Mika Brzezinski did her part to Make Homophobia Great Again by wondering aloud if Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is “a wannabe-dictator’s butt boy.” She apologized, though her sincerity is open to interpretation.
A lot of the people calling Brzezinski out on this can’t help but note the double standard at play, but as Donald Trump Jr. notes, in light of recent events, that double standard is especially glaring:

There certainly do seem to be special rules for special people. Does anyone out there doubt that if Brzezinski worked for Fox News, she’d be getting the Kevin Hart treatment? That Twitter detectives would be combing through her tweets for more evidence of her homophobia?
