Backfire! CNN's attempt to debunk 'climate change lies' only turns up the heat on themselves [video]

This is great, you guys. Just ask Brian Stelter:

CNN’s Real Journalists who definitely aren’t biased or anything put together a short video debunking “climate change lies”:

Don't believe these climate change lies.@CNNweather's team of meteorologists debunk common climate change myths spread by some politicians and pundits: https://t.co/JjhYwkPTjU pic.twitter.com/x2LbnnbGOJ

— CNN (@CNN) December 10, 2018

Aside from the characteristically self-righteous tone, did anyone else notice whose “climate change lies” CNN’s team was debunking?

It's sort of strange that CNN pays people like Rick Santorum to spread these lies on its cable channel only to have its journalists debunk them. https://t.co/QswOR7iHEF

Even people who believe in man-caused climate change are calling CNN out on their B.S.:

Why… why do you air them then?

— Brian Santa Maria (@briansantamaria) December 10, 2018

Then why did you *air* three of them?!

— Daniel Ben-Zvi (@DanBenZvi) December 10, 2018

YOU. DON’T. NEED. TO. EMPLOY. RICK. SANTORUM. JUST. TO. DEBUNK. HIS. NONSENSE.

Please stop giving screen time to deniers who confuse the issue. The debate is how best to solve the problem, not weather there is a problem or not.

— Clayton Jay Matthews (@claytonjaym) December 10, 2018

Then stop giving air time to those who deny climate change. Its that simple.

— Sri Saithala (@SSaithala) December 10, 2018

stop putting them on air

— mike ? (@mikesbadtweets) December 10, 2018

How are you any better than Fox if you continue to allow these people to lie on your channel? Wouldn't a better use of their slot be dead air? Which happens to be better for your reputation than continuing to book people who muddy the water

— Jason (@Dhraek) December 10, 2018

Nope. Sorry. As long as you have Santorum and others on who deny climate change, this little disclaimer means nothing.

— Jane D'oh! (@Jane_Doh) December 10, 2018

This is literally a segment debunking lies told by YOUR OWN PAID CONTRIBUTORS.

Stop paying people to lie to your audience. What is wrong with you?

— Lukas Simonis (@lsimonis) December 10, 2018

HOW ABOUT YOU STOP LETTING LIARS HAVE A PLATFORM ONYOUR NETWORK?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!?!!!?!?!!!?!!!!?!!????!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

— Old 't'aint Nick (@matingplumage) December 10, 2018

Do you even find it slightly embarrassing that you have to debunk your own network?

— Scrody (@scrody13) December 10, 2018

They should.

It's almost as if CNN's business model isn't actually about informing viewers. ?

— Bruce Mirken (@BruceMirken) December 10, 2018

Almost!
