As Twitchy told you, George W. Bush delivered an emotional, eloquent eulogy at his father’s funeral today. But that just didn’t cut it for some people. People like NYT White House correspondent Katie Rogers.
While most of us were over here admiring the Bush family’s strength and grace in the face of heartbreak, Rogers was noting what they left out of this somber occasion:
The Bushes have so far not taken emotional shots at the toxicity of Trump's Washington.
They've focused instead on unity, love, laughter, and importance of character. And an emotional 43 says his father taught him how to "serve with love" in his heart for his fellow Americans.

Focusing on unity, love, laughter, and importance of character? At a memorial service? Can you believe it? The nerve!
Maybe they’re focused on the loss of a loved one.

They're kinda busy honoring the amazing life of Bush 41. In case you missed that part. Twit

It's not about Trump.

I think it had to do with the fact that this is about George HW Bush and not Trump.
Call it a hunch. https://t.co/ZUEHwst7Im

*They need this to be about Trump.

Really disrespectful of them to ignore the content gods like they have.
— Stephen Miller (@redsteeze) December 5, 2018
Damn. So disappointed they didn't do this at a funeral. A perfect venue for political displays!!!

Good thing we’ve got brave firefighters like Katie to pick up the Bushes’ slack.
But you can't help yourself. You'll do it since they won't.

Luckily, we still have the media who never stop taking shots. Even on a solemn day like today.

Don’t give up, Katie.
Maybe someone else will die and you'll get what you want.
