Yikes! Paul Ryan catches a whole lotta hate for this tweet about his tie

Earlier today, outgoing congressman and House Speaker Paul Ryan delivered his farewell speech:

And he couldn’t help but make a little joke about how much he’s changed:

I still have that tie. https://t.co/I3PF5dyXhV

Little did he know that that joke would trigger so many people.

oooh boy the comments on this…. https://t.co/Tzd2CND6iq

Here’s just a taste:

it’s still more useful than you

— Kilgore Trout (@KT_So_It_Goes) November 29, 2018

But lost in between was your dignity and integrity.

— Edmond Guidry ?? (@edmondguidry) November 29, 2018

Did you have ties to Russia back then, too?

— Sharon E (@Xaron4) November 29, 2018

But sadly no more self respect

— Hillary Del (@hillary3197) November 29, 2018

Can't say the same for your dignity.

I am SOOO glad you’re not my son.

— SueStew (@PatentlySue) November 29, 2018

Huh?

The "President" of the United States has committed treason…and you're tweeting about ties.

— Rob Pax Covfefe (@rob_in_colorado) November 29, 2018

That tie is literally all you have to show for your time.

I'm glad you didn't lose it like you did your dignity and self respect

— Susan M Jones (@susanjones1968) November 29, 2018

Glad you still have that tie, but is it still wearable without you having a spine?

— TheCynicalOptimist (@OneCynicalGuy) November 29, 2018

You kept the tie and threw away morals and ethics. Interesting choice.

— EricaPerica (@PericaErica) November 29, 2018

But no credibility, soul, or sense of humanity.

— WRoper (@Wroper49) November 29, 2018

Still a little bitch though.
