Who wants to tell her? Michelle Obama's beef with Trump is just a wee bit misplaced

She’s right: Birtherism was indeed “crazy and mean-spirited,” dripping with “bigotry and xenophobia,” and “deliberately meant to stir up the wingnuts and kooks.” But her blame on Donald Trump is just a smidge … misplaced.

She should … and she may very well know it. But it doesn’t fit with her preferred narrative, so you won’t hear her say it.

Did Donald Trump take birtherism and run with it? You bet he did. But it didn’t originate with him. If Michelle Obama’s going to call him out for pushing that bull, she’d damn well better call out Hillary Clinton for starting it all.
