'What the hell???' Dem Rep. Joaquin Castro makes jaw-dropping claim about Jared Kushner and Jamal Khashoggi [video]

We get that the Resistance has a problem with Jared Kushner, but Democratic Rep. Joaquin Castro may be taking it a little too far:

Here’s the video:

Congressman @JoaquinCastrotx peddles an insane conspiracy theory that on Jared Kushner gave Saudi Arabia a "hit list" of enemies and Jamal Khashoggi was on the list, which is why he was killed pic.twitter.com/AjVhYCFNuN

To Poppy Harlow’s credit, she makes it clear that CNN is not familiar with the “reporting” Castro is referring to.

Gotta give a few props to the host for shooting it down immediately.

Castro’s claim appears to have something to do with this:

Likely referring to this reporting? https://t.co/aAqIgeXF7f

Looks like this is what @JoaquinCastrotx is referring to? https://t.co/CuVKGMXOct

The Saudi crown prince boasted that Jared Kushner gave him CIA intelligence about other Saudis saying 'here are your enemies' days before a 'corruption crackdown' where hundreds were rounded up and some were allegedly tortured. https://t.co/BUOD4C3QuH

… And as far as the public is concerned, Castro has exactly zero hard evidence to support his claim.

Video: Here's the video of Democratic Congressman Joaquin Castro stating without evidence that Kushner may have given the Saudis a hit list that had Khashoggi's name on it and thus the Saudis had him killed. Incredibly irresponsible. pic.twitter.com/9mossq4Cdt

That’s putting it mildly.

What the hell???

Whoa! This is some Infowars Grade Conspiracy Stuff! https://t.co/QfxOv8NcQL

That is unfortunate. I had hopes for Castro. You cannot make that kind of accusation without substantial proof. It makes our side look as bad as theirs.

Baseless. Conspiratorial. Dangerous. https://t.co/BmO0beXddm

We’d say so.
