Earlier today, Donald Trump took to Twitter to bash “Fake News” outlets like NBC and CNN:
So funny to watch the Fake News, especially NBC and CNN. They are fighting hard to downplay the deal with North Korea. 500 days ago they would have “begged” for this deal-looked like war would break out. Our Country’s biggest enemy is the Fake News so easily promulgated by fools!

It’s, um, interesting that Trump is calling the media “our Country’s biggest enemy” just a day after buttering up Kim Jong-un. But, weird optics aside, it’s hard to muster much sympathy for CNN given the crap they’ve pulled. Still, that’s exactly what Wolf Blitzer wants us to do:
.@wolfblitzer on the media: "We are not the enemy of the American people. We love the American people."

Bless your heart, Wolf Blitzer.

Dear Wolf: the media deserves every bit of the scorn that they are treated with

Has Wolf forgotten how CNN has shown the American people their love?
We love them so much we blackmail them over gifs and send news crews to their front lawns accusing them of being Russian spies! https://t.co/SDEU7S1KOP

We love them so much, we run them down like roadkill if they make gifs we don't like. It's tough love.

"We love the American people, which is why we get people fired over aids jokes and wearing rodeo masks."

They love the American people so much that they treat us like we’re too stupid to notice their flaming bias:
.@wolfblitzer lists off past presidents who were also unhappy with coverage, omits one name: "Whether it was President Clinton or President Bush or President—they're all criticized." pic.twitter.com/KPhj35YIWm

Subtle, Wolf.
Instead of tweeting Obama just cussed journalists out to their face. My favorite part of this is Brian Lamb asking Compton if Obama had a point. https://t.co/1haV7ite1n pic.twitter.com/fsMVHDizun

To paraphrase He Who is Beyond Reproach: Trump didn’t build the media’s credibility problem; the media made that happen.
