The Daily Beast’s social editor Mandy Velez apparently got quite a shock today when she found out she owed $400 for medical appointments:
This am, I was told I owed $400 for two doctors appointments. Both were for my autoimmune disease that I take meds for every day and could become very, very sick from if left untreated.

Naturally, she used this setback to give America the finger:
I started bawling because I can't afford to go to the doctor now for something I NEED to go to the doctor for. WITH insurance. The collections agent apologized to me and said something like, "it's ridiculous I know. I'm sorry."
FU AMERICA. Seriously. FU. #affordablehealthcareNOW

That’s a lovely sentiment, Mandy.
I'm not going to delete what I said earlier, but I said it hastily & let my emotions get ahold of me. Bottom line, I love America. I just believe we're capable of having affordable healthcare for all w/o breaking our banks. I'm fortunate enough to pay, but some aren't. That's all

Gosh, we could’ve sworn the “Affordable Care Act” was supposed to result in “affordable healthcare for all.”
You live in one of most expensive ares of country. How often do you eat out? How often do you stop at Starbucks? Would you have doctors work for free, unable to pay staff, close offices, be enslaved to govt & to the population? Many of us are already retiring early, quitting.

Many doctors put up w insurances that take 8-9 mons to pay, patients who don’t pay but we see new cars for their kids across the street. Democrats passed ACA & forced us to change practices, buy expensive EMR. You think we like it? Ppl like you, the ACA is just 1 reason I quit.

I'm sincerely sorry Obamacare hasn't worked out for you. Many, many, warnings that this would happen went ignored. The Democrats are owed your F**k you, we warned you.

Obamacare has failed to deliver on its unicorn promises for a lot of people. Of course, as its critics tried to warn, that was a feature; not a bug.
Obamacare fixed this, so no worries. https://t.co/CM9wnJ1N4o

You sound like you don't like accessible, affordable Obamacare.
— Infinite Bastard (@InfiniteBastard) June 11, 2018
Our health insurance system was far from perfect. But the Affordable Care Act, sold to the American public as the solution to our health care problems, only made things worse.
By the way, Mandy, that’s the same “Affordable Care Act” that you gloated about once upon a time:
Let’s rewind about six years:
Mad about the obamacare? Why don't you move to a dif. country? Oh wait, they all have universal healthcare, too. bummer.
— Mandy Velez (@mandy_velez) June 28, 2012
Speaking of moving …

maybe you should move to a country with socialized medicine and see how that works for you…shocking that a blue-check marked person is just figuring out how bad obamacare was for the country!!! <not really>

Move to Venezuela. I hear they've gone a different direction with their health care system. I'm sure you'll like it.

Go to Cuba while you can, ingrate.

We’ll even help her pack.
You know you could leave? #futoo

Yeah, that would've been the founding fathers' response FOR sure.
— Mandy Velez (@mandy_velez) June 11, 2018
Nice try, Mandy. But no.
Where in the constitution does it say the fed government will provide healthcare? I'll wait.
