The wait is over! At long last, Joy Reid is finally addressing the recently unearthed blog posts pimping 9/11 Trutherism and a Photoshopped image of John McCain as the Virginia Tech shooter:

Joy Reid finally address the newly unearthed blog posts: "There are things I deeply regret and am embarrassed by, things I would have said differently and issues where my position has changed. Today I’m sincerely apologizing again." pic.twitter.com/AvQceGnsLd

Notice anything missing from today’s apology?
It's also notable what ISN'T in Joy Reid's apology: any mention of the alleged hacking pic.twitter.com/0EzOF0LsIA

.@JoyAnnReid issues statement apologizing for inflammatory posts about McCain, 9/11, Israel on her former blog. Doesn't address her hacking claims. pic.twitter.com/VRlB5a2f7U

Think she just forgot to mention those?
So we’re just calling off that FBI investigation then or… https://t.co/6NfLX7SIa9

Guess so!

This is a much better response than where Reid just invented a hacking conspiracy. She should have started with this. https://t.co/78FR0iiXvV

Yeah, but what fun would that have been?
It’s a bold strategy, let’s see if it works out for her

Well, she is a liberal … so it probably will.
What are "apologies that wouldn't be good enough if this were a conservative and they're definitely losing their job regardless," Alex? https://t.co/1U6R4ueSty
— RBe (@RBPundit) June 1, 2018
This is an insufficient response from Joy Reid. She delivers news and her network should want it to be clear which of the fringe positions she has taken in the past she feels differently about today. There are so many. https://t.co/aujgPHv0wW

To recap: Some of the homophobic posts were written by Reid, but others were written by a hacker. The other posts—McCain as school shooter, Jews out of Israel, immigration as plot, 9/11 was a conspiracy—were just her poor judgment. This is a complex case. Hope the FBI's up to it.

In any event, we look forward to her upcoming apology for the stuff she said about Jews. Will she blame hackers for that, too? Stay tuned!
