This afternoon, Al Franken held a press conference to address allegations that he groped multiple women. That’s when he announced that, in the wake of his shameful conduct, he would be resigning from the Senate, effective immediately.
Oh, wait. No he didn’t. He basically said he doesn’t remember doing anything really wrong and he’s not going anywhere.

Won't say how or who. Blames the victims feelings. Back to the Senate! https://t.co/dFYNAMriTc

Franken says he will stay on the job because as a pro-choice Democrat, no one will make any effort to force him out.

But he’s gonna be more sensitive now:

Franken says "I have to be much for conscious. Much for careful" when taking photos with people…what? Like, not consciously grabbing women's behinds?

Hey, he can’t help it if women misinterpreted his groping them. What’s important is that he’s going to stay put so he can continue to advance women’s causes.
Q: "What kind of behavior demands a resignation?"
Al Franken: "I am not going to get into that or speculate on that" pic.twitter.com/MGWfUJqJzw

Franken won't speculate about what conduct would justify as resignation, and won't speculate about whether more women may come forward.

Al Franken refuses to say what level of sexual harassment merits resignation from elected officials.

He just knows he doesn’t meet those requirements.

Al Franken is apologizing and pledging to never again do something he says he can't remember doing

It does, doesn’t it? But he’s a busy man, and there’s no time for speculation:

Put another way:
Al Franken "Who knows how many more women's asses I've grabbed?"
— Stephen Miller (@redsteeze) November 27, 2017
This. Effing. Guy.
What a load of crap. #AlFranken
