Did Rose McGowan’s scathing rebuke yesterday get to him? Because this morning, longtime Harvey Weinstein collaborator Ben Affleck released a statement denouncing the alleged serial sexual predator:

Affleck should be saddened and angry about what happened. Everyone should be. But does anyone else find it kind of weird that given his and Weinstein’s close relationship over all these years, Affleck had no clue any of this was going on?
Considering this has been an open secret in the industry, I find this take astonishing and questionable. https://t.co/l9wfDBCn0P

Notice what Ben Affleck does not say, namely "I did not know about Harvey's behavior." https://t.co/0PfvjFCIw7
— (((Ron Lieber))) (@ronlieber) October 10, 2017
Notably absent: "I didn't know this was happening." https://t.co/LR37BPI0De

Also notably absent is any denunciation of another alleged sexual predator Ben has worked with:
Dude. Google your brother.

As a first step, maybe try talking to your brother.

Nice thoughts, Ben. But what about Casey?

Now he should do his brother Casey Affleck. https://t.co/PDewyvcLbC

So we can count on you to have a hard heart-to-heart with Casey about his behavior?
