As Twitchy told you yesterday, Wikileaks has asserted that Hillary Clinton asked if it would be possible to drone Julian Assange. At a press conference this afternoon, Hillary addressed the alleged remark. Well, sort of:

Transcript:

Reporter: Did you ever joke about droning Assange?

Clinton: Well, I don’t know anything about what he’s talking about, and I don’t recall any joke. It would’ve been a joke if it had been said, but I don’t recall that.

Uh-huh.

It’s not even very convincing spin. Is she telling the truth? Maybe. Is she lying? Don’t put it past her. But one thing’s for sure: She’s extremely fortunate in there’s very little chance that the media will probe the issue any deeper. The same can’t be said for her main rival for the presidency:

We don’t have to imagine it; we’ve seen it time and time again.

If the media want to try to catch Trump in a lie or force him to explain himself, that’s fine. But if they go after him and let Hillary off the hook, they’re every bit as biased and unprofessional as their detractors claim.
