What a way to kick off this spectacle:
opening song at RNC convention: "Happy Together"
— John Harwood (@JohnJHarwood) July 18, 2016
Republican convention kicks off, and the first song they play is “So Happy Together.”
— Sahil Kapur (@sahilkapur) July 18, 2016
yes, that was "Happy Together" you just heard as the Republican convention formally opened.

So it’s a happy occasion, then! Right? RIGHT???
The band on the #RNCinCLE floor is playing "So Happy Together" unironically.

"So Happy Together" is an intriguing choice for the first musical interlude of #RNCinCLE. Aspiration more than reality?
— Jeff Chu 朱天慧 (@jeffchu) July 18, 2016
#RNCinCLE I will never be able to hear "Happy Together" again without wincing.

I mean right now on CSPAN there's a band singing 'So Happy Together' at the RNC? Who thought this was a good idea?
— Spreadapedia (@Spreadapedia) July 18, 2016
"So Happy Together"? The #RNC is joking, right?

Exactly the song you'd choose in the opening scene if you were directing a movie about someone marrying a psychopath https://t.co/S44CbA5zsv
