Like the illustrious Wil Wheaton, Moms Demand Action founder Shannon Watts is a proud graduate of the School for Kneejerk Gun Grabbery.
Upon learning of today’s deadly shooting at the Berrien County Courthouse in St. Joseph, Michigan, Watts swiftly took aim at the NRA:
After you think and pray, will you act? Or will you continue to do bidding of the @NRA? #BerrienCounty #DisarmHate https://t.co/VEEVz3aAvf

THIS is outcome of @NRA's dangerous agenda of guns for anyone, anywhere, anytime: no questions asked. Berrien County https://t.co/kmRrQioEO4

Nice try, Shannon dear, but no.
According to NBC News (Watts’ source for the story):
Berrien County Sheriff Paul Bailey said the confrontation took place about 2:25 p.m. ET at at the county courthouse in St. Joseph, along the shore of Lake Michigan.
The inmate was being moved from a holding cell by a bailiff and a sheriff’s deputy, Bailey said early Monday evening. A fight broke out, and the inmate was able to disarm one of the officers.
How, exactly, is the NRA responsible for that?
You mean like armed courthouse guards? https://t.co/bb37lO71lw

He stole deputies gun. But don't let the facts get in the way of a narrative.

Not really, no. But since when has that ever stopped her?
Nearly an hour and a half after first blaming the NRA for the shooting, Watts tweeted this out to her followers:
UPDATE: Some Michigan outlets reporting gun taken from deputy. https://t.co/eWQhDUZ0B3

It was not, however, accompanied by any sort of apology for wrongly impugning the NRA. Go figure.
@NBCNews Delete this. Get your facts straight. Realize you're wrong. Tweet factual things. Thank you.
