'Dumb, or juvenile?' WaPo fumbles with this Adrian Peterson headline [screenshot]

C’mon now, WaPo. Really?

Note to editor: perhaps 'defeat' or 'overcome' would be better in this headline: http://t.co/tDmkIX0Dps

Here’s the URL:

Maybe change the headline to match the URL? As is, this is awful: http://t.co/tDmkIX0Dps

A headline change would be a start. But it’s probably better to just follow this advice:

Via @slublog, hey WaPo! This? Don't do it. –> pic.twitter.com/czsWMnjJB2

— Gabriel Malor (@gabrielmalor) September 16, 2014

Seems straightforward enough. Then again, this is The Washington Post we’re dealing with. So it’ll likely take many more whacks with the clue bat to get the message to sink in.

Oof.

@gabrielmalor @slublog dumb, or juvenile?

— DaveinTexas (@DaveinTexas) September 16, 2014

@DaveinTexas @gabrielmalor I think it was probably just thoughtless. No malice, just going for brevity.

@Slublog @gabrielmalor what are editors for again? I keep forgetting
