Pardon? Common Core cheerleader Melinda Gates didn't think this one through

Earlier today, President Obama spoke to the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) Summit, where he said something that really struck a chord with Melinda Gates:

Last year, Education Secretary Arne Duncan asserted that a big chunk of the opposition to Common Core — educational “standards” that Bill and Melinda Gates support — comes from “white suburban moms.” Hardly empowering or respectful toward mothers, is it, Mrs. Gates?
