And we're off! Blue-checked comics editor who almost certainly hasn't seen the new Joker movie already knows why it's 'problematic'

“Joker” is set to be released next month, but it’s never too early to decide it’s problematic. Just ask comics editor Heather Antos, who’s pretty sure that someone named Rachel Miller has absolutely pinpointed the problematic nature of a movie about a comic book villain:

Why the Joker movie is problematic. Rachel Miller nails it. pic.twitter.com/vTHlVOBHCY

It was not that long ago when a socially isolated disgruntled white man who felt "wronged" by society quite literally dressed up as the Joker and shot up a movie theater in Colorado.

So, if we’re understanding this correctly, “Joker” will directly lead to mass shootings.

We’re really doing this, then.

“Showing that bad guys have emotions & depth throws a wrench into my black and white world view and makes it more difficult for me to demonize white males, and that’s bad”

The Joker movie will make a million white terrorists but the Quran has zero to do with Islamic terrorism

That seems to be the gist of this argument, yes.

Have you seen the movie?

I’m going to bed, but she hasn’t.

I am very interested in hearing hot takes about the Joker movie from the several dozen or so people who have actually seen the movie, and maybe the rest of us should shut up for a month

— Alex Griswold (@HashtagGriswold) September 6, 2019

The fact that these people are judging the movie without viewing it is a joke, Todd Phillips said himself "There will be major turning points, We will show that the Joker is not to be romanticised or glorified." To judge a film based off of the trailers alone is simply idiotic.

Hey, here’s an idea:

Then don’t see it. https://t.co/E2SikZxUjy

— Stephen Miller (@redsteeze) September 6, 2019

Then don't go see it.

Just don't go see it. Simple.

— Prusmama (@LadyPrusma) September 6, 2019

Don't like it? Don't watch it.
That's what I was told with #ghostbusters2016. That's what I did.
Works both ways.

Problem solved.
