Democratic Rep. Marcia Fudge (with the support of some fellow Dems like Rep. Seth Moulton) has emerged as a possible challenger to Nancy Pelosi for the House Speakership. But this could throw a wrench into Fudge’s plans:

“A good man who made a bad mistake”. A bad mistake is not beating your wife in front of your children to the point that she needs reconstructive surgery. That is domestic violence. Not a bad mistake.

Her run for Speaker? If Fudge indeed knowingly defended a man who brutally beat his wife, her political career should probably be over, too.
Anybody who can write a letter like this in the face of clear domestic abuse clearly lacks enough insight to lead the House of Representatives or any other legislative body.
